In October 2024, Eight Station Rendering Studio reimagined the Kenrick Hotel in Banff, Canada, blending its historic charm with a modern vision. Ahead of its grand reopening in Spring 2025, the studio crafted 64 photorealistic renders and a 1.5-minute animation, serving as both a marketing tool and a cohesive visual narrative.

The hotel’s design balances mountain heritage with modern luxury, massive wooden beams, textured materials, and flickering fireplaces set a warm, inviting tone, while muted earth tones enhance comfort. Each render immerses viewers in the hotel's ambiance, from the lively lobby to the serene guest rooms.

Beyond showcasing spaces, Eight Station’s visuals evoke nostalgia, warmth, and trust. Thoughtful details, like a vinyl record player or a familiar board game, make the Kenrick Hotel feel like home. The team overcame design challenges, such as deep layouts and limited natural light, by carefully crafting lighting scenarios to maintain a luminous yet intimate atmosphere.

Designed by Mera Studio Architects, this renovation exemplifies how visualization fosters connection, inviting guests to experience the hotel’s timeless elegance long before its doors reopen.
