Ionie & Arcades
This project was created for a French lighting designer to visualize a collection of sculptural lamps, including the floor and table pieces. The environment and lighting were inspired by ancient Greece, interpreted through soft, modern minimalism. The goal was to evoke a sense of calm and timeless beauty while allowing the materials and form to speak for themselves.
We approached the space as both interior and gallery. The table lamp was placed on a pedestal like a sculpture, while the floor lamp stands as a central object in a serene, open setting. Subtle architectural references: such as arched openings, tall draped curtains, and a muted palette of stone and plaster — reinforce the connection to classical form and proportion.
Creating atmosphere was key. The scene was built to feel light and fluid, with a gentle diffusion of daylight that enhances the tactile quality of the materials. The soft movement of curtains and the rhythm of shadows give the space a quiet, immersive presence.
The Details
Special attention was given to how light travels through the stone and glass. Each rendering explores the material’s depth, translucency, and reflection, ensuring the product’s illumination feels authentic and true to its physical qualities. The project was completed with only one round of revisions — a smooth, collaborative process that reflects the clarity of the creative direction.
